Description:
Kinaru is tall for a male Viera, standing at 6 fulm 1 ilm tall. His long black fur has red highlights mixed in and he braids the hair out of his face. He can sometimes be seen wearing glasses over his blue and purple eyes while he is working on his studies or gathering supplies. He claims they help him catch the finer details of certain plants that would otherwise be indistinguishable. He tends to wear the traditional footwear of the Viera to help with scratching up dirt samples. As for the rest of his attire, if he is not wearing formal wear under a robe, it is eastern attire that combines fashion and function.Because of his work with mining and logging, as well as his adventuring, he has a well built frame that is athletic and lithe. He isn't one to show off his body so he might look bulkier under the layers of clothing.

Backstory
Kinaru, like most male Vieran, grew up in the forest, defending it from any possible intruders. He took to healing arts early on and made sure to study all he could in order to help his clan. During annual visits to the females, Kinaru would help with any medical needs, be they older Vieran with aching bones, or younger Vieran with running noses. As far as Kinaru knew, he only had one younger sibling. He made a point to interact with his sibling as long as he could during each visit as the males and females lived separately. During one of the annual visits, Kinaru gave his sibling a necklace he had made specially for them.Kinaru was excited for the next meeting, wondering if the younger sibling would reach maturity this year, or if they would have to wait a bit longer to see if the sibling would come to stay with Kinaru and their father as a male of the clan, or stay with their mother as a female. Unfortunately, before the annual meeting, intruders infiltrated the forest and caused a ruckus. Kinaru and the other males made their way to the female camps, following the trail of the bandits. There were fires and houses broken into, some females were missing, others dead, any child that was not crying and hiding as the males arrived, were found to be missing, assumed to be taken by the intruders.Among the missing was Kinaru's younger sibling. Kinaru blamed himself the most, ashamed that he had not been a better protector, had not moved faster, acted sooner. This failure hit him so hard that he vowed to never fail again. His passion for his training and studies doubled over night. Word of a highly talented White Mage by the name of Nervane Mclondin reached Kinaru's ears and he quickly left his forest home to learn from the master. He took his time, traveling the long way around in order to search for his sibling.Upon finding Nervane, Kinaru quickly became an eager apprentice, doing whatever it was that Nervane asked of him. He did not particularly enjoy staying in one place for so long, having joined Nervane's Free company and taken up residence within its halls. Within these halls he met an Elezen woman by the name of Valeska Voltaire. During his journies he had heard tale of the Hingan Treasure and knew her as he saw her. His nose crinkled in disgust at the thought of her and whenever she passed by. Especially as he watched a Vieran boy follow closely behind her. He could not understand what a proud Vieran could see in a woman like her who was indescriminate about with whom she shared her bed.He made a point to never interact with her or the Vieran beside her and could not figure out why Nervane was so fond of her either. Not until Nervane fell ill and Valeska was the one who cared enough to make sure he had delicious and healthy foods to get him back on his feet. Kinaru felt bad for thinking of her so harshly and endeavored to try and look at her in a less biased way from then on.

Male Viera - Being one of the few Male Viera, it is understandable if a female Viera would want to protect Kinaru or keep him within her sight. Feel free to use the rarity of Male Viera's as a reason to approach Kinaru.Healer - While Kinaru studies many forms of magic, he makes a point to keep potions, bandages, and his White Mage's staff on him at all times so that he is always prepared to heal those in need.

I would like to stress that what Kinaru likes and what I like will not always match up. Kinaru is his own person, so to speak, and will have his own thoughts and feelings about certain matters. Because of this, I prefer to RP any connections he might have with someone. For example, if you would like your character to know Kinaru from his past, that can be worked out, but I would rather like to RP out the past interactions in order to work out how Kinaru would currently feel about your character upon seeing them again.This also means that I might like you but Kinaru might not like your character. So if interactions with Kinaru have turned sour, please don't assume that things have gone sour with me personally.
